Dr. Garrick is currently the Board of Director Secretary for APAF. He serves the American Psychiatric Associations philanthropic subsidiary working to create a mentally healthy nation by advancing mental health, overcoming mental illness, and eliminating stigma. He recommends and evaluates programs that promote awareness of mental health and the effectiveness of treatment, and the importance of early intervention and access to care. Dr. Garrick also advises on research that contributes to the scientific base of psychiatric practice and informs health policy.
